Maine Pointe Appoints Janice Pinson as EVP of Maine Pointe Academy to Advance End-to-End Supply Chain Optimization
Maine Pointe advances its goal of becoming the most sought-after global supply chain and operations consultancy with enhanced commitment to continued learning and talent development
(Boston, Mass - February, 2019) Global supply chain and operations consulting firm Maine Pointe has appointed Janice Pinson as EVP of Maine Pointe Academy. The Academy was set up in 2015 to provide support and personal growth opportunities for the Maine Pointe team, and to reinforce their leading role in Total Value Optimization (TVO)â„¢, a methodology which incorporates supply chain optimization to create value along the entire end-to-end supply chain.
Janice joined the Maine Pointe team in 2016, initially tasked with the dual responsibility of talent acquisition and talent development. This involved the early development of the Maine Pointe Academy. Pinson will now focus 100% of her time on building out the Maine Pointe Academy to bring further value to the Maine Pointe team, next to clients and on to their suppliers.
With more than 20 years’ experience inside Fortune 500, private equity owned, and management consulting organizations, Pinson has a proven ability to help organizations build a competitive advantage by linking human resources initiatives to aggressive organizational and strategic goals. She is experienced in facilitating collaboration and in leading teams that increase organizational effectiveness and create efficiencies.
"Janice is a proven leader whose skills and insights have been essential to Maine Pointe’s 'Drive for 2025' plan and our goals for Total Value Optimization (TVO)™," said Steven Bowen, CEO of Maine Pointe. "In addition to supporting the growth and development of our team, in the near future, Maine Pointe Academy will expand to become a revenue-generating business unit offering certification and accreditation of TVO, externally the academy will be known as the TVO Academy."
Maine Pointe's record growth and success in driving supply chain optimization and significant EBITDA and growth improvements for its clients has led the team to reaffirm its commitment to expanding the Maine Pointe Academy. Since July 2018, Maine Pointe's Executive Leadership Team has been working on a plan to make a greater investment in the development of its team, its clients and clients' suppliers. Maine Pointe also recently announced Mary Lyons joining the firm to round out the talent management area as EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer and the newest member of the Executive Leadership Team.
"Learning and development are essential to the growth of our team and our clients," said Pinson. "By allowing team members to more easily advance their personal and professional development, Maine Pointe will be able to continue delivering outstanding results to its clients, while continuing to position Total Value Optimization (TVO)â„¢ as one of the most important methodologies of the decade."
