(Boston, Mass - January 20, 2017) Maine Pointe is pleased to welcome Derek Kurzenknabe to its Chemicals and Oil & Gas consulting team. Derek is a seasoned professional who has more than 25 years of consulting and supply chain operations experience. He has spent the majority of this time working with Global 2000 companies in discrete and process manufacturing industries including chemicals, oil & gas, aerospace & defense, automotive, electronics, and retail. Over the last decade, Derek has helped numerous manufacturing clients identify, develop, and implement transformational business initiatives across both back office and supply chain operations delivering over $1B in sustainable EBITDA improvements.

In this role, he worked with senior leaders to systematically and sustainably reduce operating costs while improving key performance metrics across the business. Before this, he spent eight years at a multinational technology company where he was initially responsible for complex supply chain optimization projects, but moved into a leadership role responsible for helping clients drive process improvement programs and implement shared service strategies globally.
